Have you ever wondered what happens to your work when you decide to save a life?

Imagine you receive a call. On the other end, you’re told that you can change someone’s life, even save it. You decide to take the step and become a donor.

It’s an incredible act of generosity, but then the big question arises: “What happens to my work and salary?

Until now, many donors had to face this moment of uncertainty, but that has changed.

On March 3, 2025, a new paid leave was implemented in the Workers’ Statute, protecting those who decide to give life:

❤️‍🩹 Paid leave for preparing for donation during working hours (Art. 37.3 ET).

❤️‍🩹 Special sick leave for temporary incapacity, covering everything from medical preparation to recovery discharge, with 100% salary coverage and no contribution requirements (Art. 169 LGSS).

If you decide to take the step, at PEREZ DOMINGO we’ll support you throughout the process, answering any questions you have about your labor rights so that you can donate with complete confidence and peace of mind.

Because those who give also deserve to receive, and saving a life should never mean putting yours at risk.
